A true Adelaide Hills icon, Shaw & Smith are always on the must visit list each year. Whilst their Sav Blanc may have cult status, for me the M3 Chardonnay is the feather in their cap. It has everything you want in a quality chardonnay – it has the fruit, the crisp acidity, the integrated and balanced oak – it is exactly how they describe “refined and elegant”. It is absolutely a Wine Please favourite and our only challenge is to try and keep a few in the cellar to enjoy in a few years time.
